A shopping trip can become a useful introduction to everyday eating in Taiwan. At MetroWalk, or 大江購物中心, in Zhongli, Taoyuan, noodles, snacks and sit-down meals share a single destination. For an overseas visitor, the practical question is less about finding a universal “best restaurant” than choosing a meal that fits the time and company available.
A Supertaste guide published on 8 November 2026 at 06:00 Taiwan time brings together ten dining options. We checked the mall’s own directories to turn that list into a smaller set of planning decisions. This is a researched guide, not an account of a personal visit or a new restaurant opening.
Choose a meal format before a restaurant
Start with the mall’s official GBF directory. It separates restaurants, a food-court section and lighter food options. GBF therefore does not mean that every business on the level uses the same ordering or seating arrangement. Look at the individual counter or entrance before joining a queue.
The directory lists 大師兄銷魂麵鋪, Marugame Seimen and 大心 among its noodle choices, and 馬祖新村 among its lighter food businesses. The Chinese names are useful to save on a phone when matching a recommendation to the signs inside the mall. They also show why a shopping-center meal can range from a bowl of noodles to a snack stop without requiring a full restaurant booking.
For a more leisurely group meal, consult the fourth-floor directory. Its restaurant list includes YABI KITCHEN, Mo-Mo-Paradise, STANLEY’s STEAKHOUSE and T.G.I. FRIDAYS. These are choices to investigate, rather than a ranking: a shared meal and an individual quick lunch solve different needs.
Check the details that can change your outing
Before ordering, confirm the current menu, service charge, last-order time and any dining time limit with the restaurant. If a meal includes refills, ask what is actually included. Refillable rice is different from an all-you-can-eat meal, and a previously photographed set menu does not establish today’s price or availability.
The new guide draws on earlier bloggers’ meals and customer reviews. Their descriptions can suggest questions to ask, but this article does not repeat their taste judgments as our own experience. Google ratings and old promotional prices are omitted because they do not provide a dependable promise for a future visit.
Plan the journey separately from the meal. The mall’s official address is No. 501, Section 2, Zhongyuan Road, Zhongli District, Taoyuan. Its current FAQ says that it is temporarily not providing a shuttle from Taoyuan High Speed Rail Station. Check current transport information before leaving; older travel descriptions should not be treated as a timetable.
Keeping the plan simple leaves more room for the meal itself: choose a floor and dining style, verify the restaurant’s terms, and allow time for the trip.
